If you follow me on INSTAGRAM, then you probably saw that I just got back from visiting Tennessee later last week!!! This is only my fifth day back from Tennessee and I am already planning to go back đThe views were amazing and I can not get over how much fun we had skiing! If you are looking at booking a trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, just know that it is a necessity to go hiking and it would be in your best interest to bring a camera along too :)
DAY ONE: I have always been a lover of early mornings, yet 3 AM is a bit extreme and I have a pot of coffee to thank for keeping me awake. We started off the morning by packing all of our luggage into the van, (which took a whole hour... I am not even sure how we got everything in theređł). After, we hit the road and stayed on the road for TWELVE HOURS! but it was so worth it! We occupied ourselves with the Harry Potter movies and some Alivn and the chipmunks. Then we finally arrived at our resort around 12pm after stopping for some food, of course :)
DAY TWO: We went hiking!! I've never been hiking before and after this trip I can say that I absolutely love it! My whole family started off with a four mile hike to an amazing view!! Me and sister may have hung behind to take a couple pictures (sorry not sorry!) After the hike we drove up to the mountains were it was pouring down snowing! (Is that even a saying?) It was such an amazing experience especially since we live back in Louisiana where it is always 90 degrees.
DAY THREE: This was one of my favorite days of the vacation! Day three we went SKIING!!! The whole family started off by going tubing and then afterwards we ended the day with skiing on the slopes. We spent hours skiing! Although we weren't very good at it (and I face planted for most of the night), it was definitely one of my favorite nights ever!!
DAY FOUR: We celebrated my birthday by waking up early (but not 3 AM early) to go on another hike (I can never get enough!) and it started snowing!!! The view was the absolute best and the snow was amazing!!! I may have taken too many pictures from this day... My dad and I even hiked up a hill to track deer prints which was so cool! After hiking, we walked down the strip to see the cutest little shops ever! But the night didn't end there. The whole family bought tickets to the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampee. The Stampee consisted of a dinner and a show and it was the coolest thing ever! Afterwards, we celebrated my birthday with some brownie cake :)
DAY FIVE: My family and I made one final stop at Caves Cove before we headed home. It was so amazing to see all of the old churches and graves of people in the past who have actually had a life there! But it was so sad to see everything go.
I'll be back Tennessee!
